Pup Behavior Question

I have a very nice looking 14 mon old B&T male that still acts like he is 4 months old around me and other dogs. When ever I turn him out with my other two dogs in my fenced in yard to clean the kennels all he does is play fight with them. He bites at the ears and neck, and chases them all over the yard. He has been very well socialized with other dogs. He was in the same pen as two others from 12 wks to 9 months untill I built my new kennel and seperated them into single pens. He is going nuts on a cage coon and I want to get him in the woods, but afraid he will continue doing this. My 5 yr old female doesn't even want to be around him anymore. I have tried shocking him to break it out of him, but this just makes him actually attack the othe dog. My English stopped this behavior and started hunting at 8 months. Is there a diferernt maturing time between the two breeds, and what can I do to correct this so I can get him in the woods? Thanks in advance for any advise.

Somebody help this feller out.....??

Sounds to me like he needs to run loose some and spend some of that energy.. Most pups act stupid , jumping around and playing and sometimes I have to scold or take a swing at them to get their attention , but when they figure out what and where a coon is , they usually get down to bussiness..

14 months old is getting old enough to do some serious training , scolding ,and coon treeing as soon as possible...

AND , to answer your question about differances in the breeds , there is no differance at all. I have saw silly ones in them all, and I have saw some pups that were all bussiness and no play at early ages. It all depends on the individual...

Just be glad you dont have one of them dog humpers. lol. One thing I cant stand is a horny pup trying to hump every dog they see instead of hunting.. We all have saw that too in some dogs whether people will admit it on here or not..
