Friends of Harold Huddlestun
Just to let those friends who may not be in touch with Carol and Harold Huddlestun presently, please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
Carol admitted Gene to the hospital, Harrisburg Medical Center room PCU2A, with a series of mini strokes. Tests will be run tomorrow.
I have only known them in the past 4 years but talk with them often thru emails and phone calls. I know they still think of many of their coonhound friends. They mention often in our conversations that they don't hear from many or no one calls them anymore in the Coonhound World.
I know they would appreciate you keeping Gene in your thoughts and prayers and it would lift their spirits to hear from some of their long time friends maybe thru an email or phone call.
Sometimes we let time pass us by and then regret it later on.
If you need their email or number just pm me. Thanks for reading.

Thoughts and Prayers
To the Huddlestun family. Medical issues like this, especially before test results...when you are waiting waiting waiting can be very stressful for all involved. We send comforting thoughts during this time and hope that all is well in No Time.
Sincerely, Heather and Bob William

Hud
I hope ole Hud gets better soon. Yes, he has done our breed some good over the years and many of us have benefited from it. He sold me Banjo Rick as a 5 week old puppy at walker days at Kalamazoo Michigan in 1995. I raised and trained banjo Rick and after he won the UKC World Show in 1999 I sold him back to Hud in 2000. Hud then after slowing down sent Banjo to the Hogan's and they gave him a wonderful home until I got him back from them. I wish him a speedy recovery..

My prayers are with the Huddlestons
I was so sad to read about Gene. I love that old teddybear and miss his phone calls. We're thinking about him and his family.
He has made his mark in the Treeing Walker breed. Talk about dual purpose hounds!
Scott, we sure do miss ole' Banjo but from the pics you send, he looks like he's having a ball at your place and although he's a tad bit gray, you have that boy in GREAT shape!
Carol emailed me yesterday telling me about Hud and I also talked CJ his grandson who is keeping posted on how he is doing.... Havent talked to him today yet as I have been working but I owe alot to old Hud for everything he did for me from giving me my first show dog Huds Radical Rachel and also selling me Miss USA and his Old Cindy Dog. Also Dandy as Laura stated and many others along the way we have always kept in touch even thought they are no longer envolved with the coondogs but very much love to sit and talk about them and remember the good times. Ol Hud sure loves to tell stories and most of them will get you laughing and dang near rolling off your chair. He and Carol are two of a kind and they will be in my prayers and hope he gets better soon and he is as stubborn as the day is long so I know in my heart he will pull through this.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Hud & Carol. I always enjoyed talking with them at the events. Laura thank you for the list of hounds that came from Hud & Carols kennel. My line also started from a female (GRCH PR Little Walnut Ms Sheza Lady who will be 13 in Jan) that I purchased from him. Others with dogs that go back to him besides myself are Bonnie Casner & Ray & Cindy Webb. I learned a great deal from them and thank them from the bottom of my heart.

I don't know Hud personally but I know of him well enough to know that he and Carol have raised and shown some of the finest walker dogs there are! My prayers and thoughts are with him and Carol. Keep us informed on how he is recovering!
Sue R.
old man hud was the first coonhunter that i had met who could tell you more about what your dog was doing the first time he ever heard it than you could after hunting it for years. enjoyed many a hunt with hud, and a few big meals too! get well harold.

Just got this email from Carol tonight.
He will be discharged date on the 17th. He will be returning to Herrin 2X's per week for OT & PT. His improvement has been wonderful and we are praying for a 100% return.
Gene, Harold or Hud to a lot of you. Herrin Hospital phone #1-618-942-2171 ext: 32011 You will never know how much he really appreciates your calls and visits. A big thanks to all who have visited or called it helps to keep his spirits up. Sometimes this is as good a therapy as the actual workouts since he is a very social person.
God does answer prayers!!! We have seen this not only with Gene but also Dan & Bev.
Thank You and Prayers are still needed, please.
Carol
