Ovulation period
Do dogs drop eggs out of both ovaries when they ovulate, or do they rotate ovaries every other cycle? I have a female that I bred last December and she came down with an infection and the vet removed one ovary. He said I could breed her again in a year. Just curious.
Thanks,
Scott

Your female will ovulate off of her remaining ovary with each heat cycle.....
Typically one ovary is more active than the other, and it's almost like they have a "spare'...when one stops working.....the other takes over.
