sounds to me they need to hire someone for the position of hunting beagle verses trying to make due with one less person.

todd left some pretty big shoes to be filled, doesn't look like ukc will be able to do just that with one less person on the team.

I really don't think, that it should be a person, that anyone of us know, it should be non-biased, and someone who can run a program based on organizational skills, and marketing. Not just beagling. Yes they should get to know the program and the rules. Remember guys, this is a business, not our local clubs. Also they're busy with other interest, and it has been told to some that the hunting beagle program will be front and center , once the world's, (coon and beagles) are done. yea the state races have been going on for a while. That's true, yea there's probably a prize to win it . But come on people, its just bragging rights to win each state, by spending the most money, and time, and gas to get it, kinda like the old challenge series. The real prize, is winning the state after the races are over and going to the nationals for the run-off. Yea alot of people are not pleased with some of the lack of attention in the program, but I guess we have to be patient. we have no choice. Most things in this program, kinda run itself. But I do hope we see some responses soon. And I'm sure Todd, and Allan will do just that.

That's, fine, maybe he should, but its like alot of us growing up, some of us wanted to be game warden's, because we like the outdoors, and hunting, but if you are, that's some of the least that you will be doing. Some hobbies, and sports aren't the same when its a job. Like I said, personally, they should get someone non-biased, and ready to promote it and run it like a ever-growing business.

Sorry if I step on any toes, but oh well here goes. I think we need to give Allen a chance. Yeah he is taking on a tough job, but first we need to give him some time to get use to everything. I'm sure he will start getting everything rolling. As for the shoes he is filling the guy that was wearing them #1 they must have been to big #2 didn't really care about them #3 found a better pair. I don't know which it was, but I know how it feels to take the torch from someone else... and it was a big torch too. I mean oooohh aaahhh it was Todd Morgan. Well any hoo good luck Allen you have my full support. Just my 2 cents please feel free to send all hate mail......

I agree with dady rabbit give Allen a chance I think he is doing a fine job coming from doing coonhounds to helping with beagle programs. I know if you have a question or problem all you have to do is call or write him and he will get back with you if he is busy. Allen you are doing great in my book. Can't please them all

I think everyone is missing some of the points here. Its not like Allen and Todd are setting at their desks doing nothing. Their in charge of the Coon hounds, which is 10 times the size of the beagles, I know were important as well, but some of these questions will survive until their done. Not saying that all of us agree with how some things were put aside, but its really out of our control. Remember Allen just over seeing the program right now. They will probably find a replacement in a few months. Like I said earlier, this program is running itself. Not too many problems, to deal with.

Exactly just chill out everyone, Allen is trying his best to do 2 jobs at once.
Vicki you used to run coonhounds and know how BIG the world hunt is, then we've got the beagle world in two weeks, I wouldn't even want to be in the building at UKC right now, That place has to be a mad house, besides there is 3 months left in the state race and only 2 hunts in ohio in sept. I'm sure the prize for top dog is nothing compared to what you would recieve for winning the run-off in april.
Besides that John Hill ask a question about NHBA that hasn't been answered yet but no one is cracking on Dave ( Sorry Dave)
Leave Allen alone before we make him quit then things will really be screwed up.
Hang in there Allen if the next couple weeks don't give ya gray hair ......nothin will.

I still say Mitch should go up there. Yes you are right Scott, we still havnt gotten an answer yet from Dave. But at least he did get on here and give some sort of explination.

2. Last year we decided to use the new state race format because it would be so much easier to track and keep up with. This would mean no extra reports you would send the state race form to UKC and they would copy it and send it to NHBA.

again it leads back to UKC.

Mike, I'm not for sure that they just started the State Races, just to make it easier to keep track of, I believe it was because everyone complained about the cost of running all the hunts in different states, and the price of gas. So I would just let it be for now and not let this turn into something that it doesn't have to be.
