ATTN : HUNTERS WHO KEEP DOGS ON TETHERING DEVICES OR IN KENNELS
Many counties in NC & SC are are now facing these laws to restrict the tethering dogs, and kenneling of dogs.
Even if you dog not keep your dog on a chain, please help fight these laws from passing. We need all the heads we can have in a room to show that there are more than 5 poeple in a county that keeps their dogs on a chain / kennel.
The chain law is passed first, then the kenneling requirements are passed for 150 SQ per dog. Thats a 10 X 15 kennel for each dog you own.
When they see that you are not complying with this law, they will bring in the NO kennel law.
So please dont think this will not affect you if you are a animal owner.
Currently Durham NC needs help from ALL dog owners. They will be having another meeting SEPT 2 @ 9:00 am for these considerations.
Please try to attend if at all possible. Thanks,
All I can do right now is wish them luck. I hope that the word gets out and people show up to oppose this.

I would suggest that numerous people from the Durham area respond to this situation by fax and also several people show up to the meeting. They are ruining North Carolina one county at a time and it looks like Durham is next. Luckily, we had the president of the AHA to show up to our meeting of such and got a few things changed. It would be a good idea for at least a couple people to show up. Good Luck.
And also if you are not a member of the AHA, you need to check them out. They are similar to the Kentucky Houndsmen Assoc. They have alreday helped several local counties in NC and SC with problems like this and they need your support. They have began helping with local county issues and soon they will soon be statewide. The more members they have, the more help they can provide. Check them out at: http://apphoundsmenassoc.com
