tacoma vs. T-100s

pros and cons of each which is more dependable and will be around for the long haul and can take a pounding if need be

I cannot speak for the t-100's but I have a 2001 Dual Cab 4x4 Tacoma that I truly enjoy. I have hauled loads with this v6 that I probably should not have. But the truck really does a nice job for me. I have 125,000 on it now and I have only changed out spark plugs and a Catylic converter. Other than that just maintenance on breathers and what not's. If I was into hauling larger loads I would invest in a Tundra. I have noticed some t-100's running around that have been in my parts for a long while though. In my experience I would have to say Toyota has been a very good brand of truck for me. My wife drives our family vehicle (Toyota 4-Runner), I have my 2001 Tacoma and my hunting truck is a 1983 4x4 toyota pickup.

I haven't ever had a T-100. I've had a
1991 Ext Cab 4x4 4 cyl 22 re Auto
1997 Tacoma 4x4 V-6 Auto
1999 4-Runner 4x4 V-6 Auto
2000 Tacoma 4x4 V-6 Auto
2000 Tundra 4x4 V-8 Auto
I haven't ever had a problem with any of these. I would recommend the Tacoma. They are tough and will last forever!

The T-100 is a little bigger truck and everything I have ever heard is that they are underpowered.
