Charging $30.00 a day, or $90.00 for 3 days, camp. trailer!

The foirgrounds is not rented out to UKC until Thursday... you only have to pay if you are camping monday thru wednesday

Joe, So you don't have pay thursday thru Sat. Heck, I still think $30 dollars a day is a little steep, but I don't use a camper or own one though. I always thought about using one but I think getting a room would be a lot cheaper if you had to pull a long way due to fuel cost. I hope someone from Ukc would clarify if you half to pay 30 a day for thursday thru saturday, I have a bunch that were bringing a couple up.

I am there now....I've gotten all set up and am paid up for camping Monday night, Tuesday night, and Wednesday night. Thursday through Saturday night is FREE CAMPING...

The local club is collecting the money, and they get $3.00 per night ....the fair board is "allowing" us to use their facitlities for $27.00 a night....

Far as I see it, its about the same price as any other full service camptround around...

Not a bad deal. I'll camp from Monday through Sunday....and it'll cost me $90.00

I rent at a camp ground in Lexington,Oh for $200.00 a month FULL SERVICE honey wagon HOLE 9 YARDS !!!!!!! Honey creek camp ground should try them even got a nice Fishing lake also Id hate to stay here a month 30 Days 30 per night = $900.00 OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO that hurts.

They told us at the gate u still pay for Thursday-Sat. They were running people off around 9:00AM told if they didnt pay by 4:00 Tom. they would be Towed this is bull my camper is just setting there not in use if it is Towed someone will pay all cost ((ETC.))) & we wont be GUIDING !!!!!!!!!!!

Ive try to call UKC Al,Todd no answer now whats going on we need the true story !!!!

Show me in the book were we need to pay for camping........

You may have some bad info.

I paid my fee this morning...and I talked to fellows from the local club collecting the money. I'm payed up for the rest of the week. I have a little red tag in my window....says so.

Someone needs to let the rest of us know. because I am not pulling my camper 5 hours if I can get a motel room for just a little extra money. I will be there Thursday and stay until Sunday morning. I guess my question is it going to cost me to camp on the fairgrounds?

If you have a camper on the grounds prior to Thursday you will need to pay the camping fee. However, Thursday, Friday and Saturday camping will be free of charge.

Remember last year when they wouldn't open the gates until Thursday? UKC only rents the grounds Thursday through Sunday so it doesn't seem out of line that they would charge a fee when opening the grounds to campers prior to Thursday.

Our agreement for the fairgrounds does not start until Thursday. We've never charged for camping and hopefully never will. What you decide to do before Thursday is up to you. I would say that includes "reserving" a camping spot by parking a trailer in one. It's not fair to the people that have to pull campers a long way and come in on Thursday to have all the local people going in their and reserving all the shade by parking a camper on Sunday and then not staying in it. At least I never thought it was. I remember when one group used to go in and rope off a huge portion of the shade. That's not fair is it? Camping is first come / first serve. $30 does seem a little steep but you can't blame the fairgrounds for charging before the event starts.

Last year the fairgrounds said they weren't even opening the gates until Wednesday. Remember the trouble that caused? They stuck to it and had some people very upset. This year they said it's open. They are the ones you need to contact if you have a problem with the fee. You are right though in that the ad should have stated what nights you would be charged and how much.

I bet by Thursday somebody will gladly pay your back taxes to have that nice camping spot? You could probably even make $20.

David; You have to pay whether you are camping or not if you are set up before Thurs !!! I went up there this morning and set our 10x10 open tents that we use at hunts and I pay the same as somebody camping. Not a problem if you want to get a good spot !! lol
