Dogtra or tri-tronics?

Which one do you like best? I've been hearing the new Tri-Tronics are having some distance problems so I bought a new Dogtra but haven't used it other than in the yard so I can't say how it does on distance. I've had several Tri-Tronics in the past and never had a problem but I haven't used one of the new ones.

Joey,
You will love the Dogtra. It's the only kind I've used the past several years. They have plenty of range!

Jonathan, I hope I do. I talked with a few handlers that hunt pretty hard and use their equipment quite a bit and each one told me the same thing "buy a Dogtra". I really like the size of the transmitter and like the nick switch on it. Now only time will tell.

Dogtra is the best on the market

I have had both,I prefer the tri-tronics, The charger plug in holes wallered themselves out where i had to use aluminum foil to make charge contact also the nick switch and the collar changer switch were very flimsy broke off without much effort at all. They may have corrected these problems on the newer models if they haven't then I wouldn't be interested at all.The TRI TRONICS I think are best.

tri-tronics

I have a friend who has a dogtra and he tried to break a young dog off deer and she would eat the shock of that system. I took him my tri-tronics and it put a stop to her junck she's a straight coon dog know. he has no more deer runs.

This thing has 8 settings and I don't think a dog is going to eat the shock if it is charged up. I can get their attention real good here in the yard on just one and I've never done that with any of my Tri-tronics.

I have had a dogtra for several years now but only had to use it once. Worked great and accomplished what I was trying to do. I have lended it out to several friends and all had great results with it.

Over the years I've had 4 Tri-Tronics systems, 1 Innotek system, and 1 Dogtra system. I like the Dogtra the best. It doesn't have the range of a Tri-Tronics trash breaker, but it has enough. I've had mine for 2 1/2 years and have not had any problems yet.
