I have a beagle that iv'e seen with my own eyes pass up a deer even when she wasn't running a rabbit but if i run her in the rut I have had to track her down because she couldn't resist a buck shes done it twice over two years its like she needs a reminder scolding. but the reason i share this with you is proving every dog is different ive shocked dogs and had it work just the way I wanted it and i shocked a beagle once and she wouldnt do anything for two weeks but follow me around in the woods she did however with alot of coaxing started hunting again ive ran beagles since i was a child and with every beagle i get a new learning experience the only way to know for sure is to try the pup
