Help! I have a sick dog

I have a 5 month old Leopard Hound that when i turned her loose this afternoon around my house was fine. When i went back outside I whistled for her and she came out of the woods but she was staggering and shaking all over. when she finally let me catch her she was also drooling. I thought she might have gotten snake bit but there was no swelling and i could not find any bite marks. I really don't think she was poisoned all of my neighbors are dog people but it's possible. Could it be parvo? What do ya'll think?

Just a thought could she have low blood sugar? Heat exhaution at 5 mts still eating 3 times a day or more might have ate something in the woods she tracked down. Som frogs have sweat gland that releases a toxin. Is she eating and drinking? Keep us posted hope all goes well

I'll second the anti freeze also could be rat poison either way it sounds like a vet trip.
Oh yeah it could be a toad or blue tailed lizzard puppies are pretty good at catcing stuff they should leave a lone.

Sick dog

Troy I think you hit it. She was fine this morning. I had a blue dog before that had heat stroke or exhaustion and would have a seizure with the symptoms like she had. I appreciate your input. Do you know if there is anything I can do for the seizures?

MERRITT...OUR SID DOG DID THIS SAME THING A COUPLE YEARS AGO.

WE FINALLY FIGURED OUT HIS WAS HEAT EXHAUSTION.

I KNOW HOW HOT IS IS, SINCE WE ONLY LIVE 30 MINUTES AWAY.

WE CANNOT HUNT SID UNLESS IT'S UNDER 50 DEGREES AT NIGHT NOW, BECAUSE HE SUFFERS HEAT EXHAUSTION EASILY NOW.

ABOUT ALL YOU CAN DO FOR THE SEIZURES ARE COOL THE DOG OFF AND TRY TO KEEP IT STILL TILL THEY ARE OVER.

WHEN COOLING WET EARS, UNDER NECK, AND LOIN WITH LUKE WARM WATER.

COLD WATER WILL SHOCK THE DOG.

ANOTHER TIP WE'VE FOUND THAT WORKS PRETTY GOOD TO, IF YOU ARE GOING TO EXCERCISE IN THE DAY OR EVEN AT NIGHT, TAKE A BOTTLE OF WATER AND WET THEM DOWN GOOD BEFORE TURNING THEM LOOSE AND WHEN YOU CATCH THEM AGAIN.

IT WILL MAKE A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE!

HOPE THIS HELPS, WE DEAL WITH THIS OFTEN AS WELL!
