Is 1/2 hour too long?

To wait for a burger?
I cooked the grandson and myself a hamburger , using nothing but the sun , and it took 1/2 hour to cook. Is that too long? Or would you wait 1/2 hour knowing that you would never have to buy fuel ( propane , charcoal , etc. ) again?
I believe I can make it faster , but what do you think about the 1/2 hour?

Thats what I was wondering..How do you cook anything using only the sun? But to answer the question is no way I would wait 1/2 hour just for a burger or any type of food to be cooked. But then I can't stand waiting on it to be cooked over a grill anyhow takes to long

just because it is brown, doesn't mean it is cooked!!!LOL i would want to know what the temp. of the burger was when you decided to eat it. did you get gut cramps???lol

Just like magic ............... with smoke and mirrors ! LOL

Dan - oven thermometer said it was about 215 degrees in there while cooking. Water in the bottom was boiling , so I know it was hot enough. Wouldn't let the grandson eat it if it wasn't done. I'd give it to the wife ! LOL
I'm gonna improve on the design and see if I can get it done faster.
I'll let you guys know if it works.......

It sounds like you took a road trip to Oklahoma to cook that burger. lol. It gets hot down here and there are days that i believe you could burn a burger to a crisp if you left it for to long in the sun.
