There was a better artical in the www.joplinglobe.com they said it didn't have claws and it was looking for food, more than likely it was a product of an illegal pet...the globe said the Mo. Conservation Dept. wasnt sure what it was cause it was black, but you could see dark spots,so they thought it might be a cross of some kind....

They've also spotted Black Bears in Joplin,Mo. a friend of mine spotted one in his back yard...got it on his phone.Conservation said they knew about it and it was a two year old male that had just got pushed out by its mama so she could raise her new twins....

go to www.joplinglobe.com and type in black panther in the "search" block and you can also type in Black Bear and read that one....makes me wonder how much the Conservation knows that they don't advertise?????

Jerry that cat, the black panther is technically a leopard, they are not panthers at all but black leopards so ther for it should have spots.
