Michigan Coon Hunters

Do you know that there was recently an effort to rewrite the Recreation Trespass Law in our State to remove the right to retrieve??????????

Many of us are often times unware of the little battles that wage on in our state that could affect pleasure hunters, competition hunters, field trialers, and water race enthusiast.

Our enemies are there quietly working against us. Whether we know it or not the Michigan State United Coon Hunters Association is there behind the scenes fighting for our rights. Yes, representatives of MSUCHA were there to fight against this latest attack on our rights and they were successful in protecting our rights ... this time.

This weekend is the Michigan State Championship Nite Hunt, Bench Show, Field Trial, and Water Race in Lapeer. This is the State Associations only fund raiser! We need each and every one's help. Come on out and enter a dog in one or more of the competitions, bid on items in the auction, and help make this year's State Championship a success.

Bring the family and enjoy a weekend of coon hound events and fight to preserve our rights too. Yes, gas prices are too high, but the cost of loosing the right to free cast our hounds and the right to retrieve would devastate our sport and life style that so many of us cherish. It is time to step up and do a small part and support those supporting you.

Please join us this weekend and have a great time at the Michigan State Championship in Lapeer. Thank you.

Larry's right, there's always a few who are looking out for all the rest of us and they need our support. Times are hard here in Michigan and nobody knows for sure what to expect tomorrow , but we all need to come out to the State hunt if we possibly can. With few exceptions this is the biggest hunt we have in Michigan year after year as long as I can remember . We can't take it for granted or someday it will be another of those things we talk about that used to be in the GOOD OLD DAYS.

There should be a table set up at the state hunt taking memberships. You receive a yearbook and a sticker.

No need Larry, must a mis-understanding on my part, I later paid Crocker for the club membership, so does that mean I get two votes on all subjects?

I was hoping to come hunt one night, but the dog I was going to hunt is limping around... I think he pulled a muscle or sprained something Friday night in Romulus. I'll be up that way if he comes around. Good luck

cj.

Even if the dog can't hunt come on up and join us for the day.

Everyone knows that coon hunters need a certain about of bs to get them through the week, and that quiet time is hard on all of us.

Ladies and gentlemen I am here to tell you that I am pretty positive that you can get at a minimum your weekly dose of bs if not a months worth.

Come one come all!

Hi Everyone,

We have some really nice prizes that have been donated by some vendors, and I am receiving calls from all over the country. We are hoping for a big crowd. The weather forest is looking great for this weekend. Come and support this hunt.

Thanks

Vice President
Michigan State United Coon Hunters Association

Darin,

I am bringing 2 pairs of kid Wick chaps just like new, and a Golden Eagle Hawk compound bow. It's draw weight can be adjusted from 55-70 lbs, and I still have all the cam parts to adjust the draw length from 28"- 31". It is in excellent shape. It isn't as fancy as some of the newer bows today, but it still works fine. I am pretty sure a white tail won't notice the difference.

The time I get to the club today is dependant on my in-laws, but I am targeting 4:00 pm.
