skuna River stylish peanut vs. lee crawford winner

I had a great time at walker days . peanut looked good . Saturday night I drew Rocket . the night started off very fast pace rocket scored 300+ in the first eleven minutes of the hunt. We finished the hunt with four dogs and never could really get out of a big section due to a dog keeping the strike open . peanut came back strong and treed a couple more coons . It is very hard to run up a big score when you are leading dogs around to a tree and then when you get there the dog treed leaves .and you wasted all of your time walking to that dog and then you have to recast. But i have to admit it was fun hunting with jeff he was a great guy and judge both fred dogs looked good and it came down to the last few minutes Right before the hunt was over peanut split off and treed a coon . that won that gave me the cast. peanut 125+ rocket 25+
It was a fun weekend and i will always remember it .

even Russ bellar playing basketball at murray before we drew out. congrats russel, brian and scott .

i assume this was the skuna river fred bred dog? there sure was a buzz on the grounds about how he is reproducing big mouth coon dogs. i am not familiar with fred, who owns him? has he been advertised? i have a female i think i might like to get bred to him if he is what everyone says he is.

Honesty wins hunts

hunt with jeff all the time,,,he is one of the most honsest people i know,,,at a hunt last summer jeff had the entire thing wrapped up and was smashing the cast with around 900+,,,this was in the dead of summer,,,last drop rock split from others and had a huge huge extremely leafy tree that was an honest circle,,,the other guys in the cast said circle it and jeff said no i know my dog and he doesnt have a coon and minused rock,,,still winning the cast but not enough to win nitech.........thats honest
