School Days....

I think I am gonna need a LOT of thoughts and prayers sent my way this fallowing week. I start college on Monday and I havent been in school since 2000! My brain is so rusty...I'm sure the cobwebs have cobwebs on them! I'm taking Foundations of Math and also Success Strategies...think I'll learn something? I was going to take 3 classes, but with having a 2 year old and trying to do schooling from home..I thought I had better stick with the 2 classes for the next 3 quarters. I am scared, but excited to be going back to school! Wish me luck!!

Good luck. I am in you same position. Whatever you do don't take online courses. You will never find the time with a 2 year old. Mine is 2 also, so trust me. It will be worth it though.

I am doing the online classes. The good thing is..that I HAVE to log in and participate in the classes at least 3 days a week. It is going to be hard I know..but if i put my mind to it..I can do it..I HOPE..lol.

Good luck w/your schooling too! What are you studying?

I could never do it! (even with out brain injury and the ADD that came with it)
I know a LOT of people who have gone back. One of my best friends is doing Nursing school part time and work full time! My son WAS doing work full time and TRIED to do 3 classes at Harvard extension school...LOL... didn't work... dropped them one at a time...tried to stick out Classical Greek but even that one took too much brain power on top of work. (DUH!) He's only 21 and actually looking to go back to school full time..but he's really a kid still so he has more energy (sort of)
You can do it! BUT... what's with the MATH? Heck I needed tutoring to get thru math in HS! LOL...

Have fun doing it, it'll be great! Heather

Thanks everyone! I took Veterinary Technology right out of high school, but trying to work full time and going to school full time didnt work! I made it through the first quarter, but the second one..HUMAN ANATOMY kicked my BUTT! Human anatomy at Columbus State was a mixture of human anatomy and cat anatomy and everything from human cadavers to dissected cats was on the exam and I FAILED! I also failed the college Algebra class. UGGG! I got put on probation and had to get $700 to go back..didnt have that kinda cash so I dropped out. BIGGEST mistake I'd ever made. Well of course..I wouldnt have Tanner if I hadnt made those choices..so I dont regret it.
Anyways..long story short. I'm taking Medical Transcription now. Hopefully I can work from home and be home w/Tanner. Heather..I kinda failed my entrance exam by one..so I gotta start w/the basics. All I can say is I must have guessed real good..cause I didnt know half the stuff they asked..lol. I am in for it I know..lol.
