Mine runs with a squall bawl.Trees with a few screaming, sounds like shes dying locates and rolls it over to about 120 a min on tree...Pretty loud to.Shes kinda timid around people she dont know..Never a peep in the pen.Comes when I call her.Easiest to train I ever had..As far as rat.I dont know how he was.

Got a grandpup off Rat. He is tight on track and SCREAMS on tree. Not tree happy at all will only tree if its a COON. No trash problems and he's almost 5. Super quiet around the house. He actually stays inside never any problem with him.

rat

the rat dog I had I could not call in the hunts. She was 70 barks on track and 80 on the tree with no locate . I sold her back to the guy I bought her off of. He has a guy that handles his dogs and for awhile she was leading the state for females in PKC. I think she's probably still in the top 5. I couldn't even win a cast with her. I'm a heck of a handler! What to you think? NOT NOT and she,s a true daughter to rat attack

Keep hunting your Rat dog he ll get better. I have 1 that when I first got her was really hard to call, chop and squall on the ground, used way to much mouth on track but was a 120 bark treedog with no locate. the more I hunted her the better she got, not as much mouth on track, has a good locate now and still barks 120 on the tree with the meat. She is 1 win from Grand Nt. goes as far as she has to go to find a coon. The other Rat female is a UKC Dual Gr Nt Ch with $1600 PKC not as much mouth on track bawl, squall, chop but a nice steady treedog. both dogs are action packed. Hope this helps

hillbilly mac dogs

NO there was plenty of coons!!! Hangover struck out of the box 2 miles from where you dropped. But i figured out that the car that passed us going the other way had run over a coon about a week ago and Hangover was winding the scent off the car. Hillbilly Mac power. But seriously your dog done well. If there was no coons in those woods somebody must of hunted there with a Hillbilly Mac dog. LOL. My dog is a conservationist he does not pose a threat to the coon population. LOL He He Ha Ha

pedigree

I was lookin on his papers 16 dogs 14 are gr night champs 1 way back pr" and mom was a "pr" she might be a night champ now. But there is NO HILLBILLY IN THERE LOL. But I would breed to a hillbilly female just to help that bloodline out lol (Mike Shannon)

Posted by mike shannon on 04-06-2008 04:13 PM:

LOL

I will breed Hangover to HIM!! Hillbilly Mac dogs are aggressive breeders and it will put real live coon treeing instinct in them LOL

I had a female out of rat that I made nitech and put 1 win toward grand on her before I sold her. Hated her!! Chop mouth both ways horrible locate and was 50-60% accurate 120bpm treedog.

it will take us 20 years to recover from what Rat has done to the walker breed and probably another 10 or 15 to get over all these Trackman pups.

you asked about Rat dogs? this is what should be listed in the dictionary as the definition of a Rat Attack dog.

Posted by GRNT Coondawg on 04-06-2008 05:30 PM:

Most rat dogs i have hunted with had these characteristics..Although, dont get me wrong I have seen some very nice Rat dogs, just very few and far between.

reddog, just keep hunting him by himself as much as you can, makes him a better trackdog and not in a big hurry to get treed, and dont feed him very many coons or he my want to go tree crazy. the better the track dog the more accurate he will be.

Lots of people complain about them and put em down. His pups have won over a MILLION dollars in PKC he will be the #1 historical producer in UKC..Now where is all those coondogs at? Must not be hunting in the hunts to beat these Rat dogs lol!!!!!!!

sackett jr dogs seemed to have alot better sense. talk to Buzz he will even say that Rat and his pups are nothing like Sackett Jr dogs.

I just asked how you liked them, the pups being hunted out of Rat have a bottom side that has a lot to do with how they turn out. Good and Bad

Rat Attack dogs -

Face barking, fighting, senseless, slicktreeing idiots.

but hey, they tree hard and stay no matter what and win lots of hunts. That's what matters right?
