Colorado Lightfoot's

This pair of pups belong to Lenny Sandoval, Lenny sent me these
pics of Annie & Souixy along with the e-mail I have posted below.

Jess

Thought I would send some pic’s from Saturday’s hunt. The pup’s got a chance To really work an old track in some very poor conditions. For much of the day They were able to trail out in front of the old walker. Through out the day we jumped 9 very big Bull Elk out of there bed’s and not once did I need to use the E-Collars. In the short time I’ve had these pup’s they have seen several hundred miles of the Sangre De Cristo wilderness area and the Greenhorn wilderness area. All those miles From the back of a mule has really put a nice handle on them. I might not get To catch as many cats as the guy’s driving roads but I know I have a lot more fun. There are no roads into this country, and I’ve not seen another person all season. I’m in there every Saturday and Sunday from sunup to sundown. The mule is showing Some wear but the Light Foot pup’s are always eager from the time the tailgate drops till we get Back to the horse trailer they never stop hunting. Never have I seen hound’s less than 1 Year hunt so dam hard time after time and never get discouraged.

Lenny
I wish you many enjoyable years of hunting those two, They sure look good.

Did these pups come from your stock? How often do you see that color combination from lightfoot hounds? Most of what I've seen have been redtick or regular bluetick lookin. What would you call them tri-color or something? I just got a pup that looks a lot like them only a bit lighter. The p-papers are marked blutck rdtck. Anyways those are some good lookin hounds!!!!

The sire of those pups Is Light Foot Bandit, A pup from the Hawk & Blitz cross. Schoonie from buffalo,wy bred and raised this litter. Those are tri-colored pups, I used to have about half my pups born that color but in the last few generations Very few. Although I have never really cared about color all that much . I do have to admit the tri-coloring is my favorite.
