cement

Ours is 13x33 feet. 4 inches thick. It's the best money I have ever spent. Easy to clean and the dogs stay clean. Just make sure if you use cement, that the driver knows what he is doing. Dont pour it to dry. Have plenty of help to finish it. The more people the better. I have mine in 10x10 pens on there now. But going to cut it to 7x13 so i can have 4 on there. Keeps there nails trimmed good to. Just clorox it once a month and there is no smell. Did I say I love mine?lol

I torn down an old shed for a guy & he gave me the lumber & tin. The cement pad is 15 by 64. The kennels are 11 by 64 with 4 inch drop. Breesway 4 by 64 with 2 inch slop other direction. I used treated 4x4 for corner posts the part with tin on out side is solid walls on inside you can buy 4x8 sheets of obs board here for 6 dollars. I used horse fence for wire you could also use hog panels 4x4 squares. The cement poured was about 1000 I will have about 2200 in it when I'm finished. Mark

Here are my kennels .... they are a work in progress. I had a 24 X 36 shed already constructed. I poured 1/2 of the shed (12 X 36) at a cost of $600 dollars. The concrete averaged 4 inches thick. I had some 2 inch pipe I had torn out of a cattle barn. I purchased 5' X 16' horse panels with 2" X 4" squares ($45) and welded them to the pipe frames. I made all of the panels and bolted them together so they can be taken down fairly easily. I know 5' is not very tall, but I was able to get a little more height by making my frames 62" and adding a 2" cleat on bottom giving me a total of 64". I've got about $300 in the panels (didn't have to buy the pipe). I put crusher run in the other half of the shed to bring the floor up to the level of the concrete. I made 4 kennels 8.5 X 12 ft.
