Appel Boys- Smokey River Fly

Has anyone out there hunted with Joel and Jake Appels Fly dog and if so what did you think of him. He looks like is is bred nicely and i have heard he is throwing some real nice pups-heard a couple already have first place wins. I met Joel at Autumn Oaks last year and he seems like a real nice guy. if anyone has info i would appreciate it- i am looking to possibly breed to this dog. Also if anyone knows of this dog-even if you have not hunted with him.

Jake and Joel-

These two guys are exactly what you said. They are both top notch guys with a real quality dog. I can not speak for his reproduction, but I guided him when he got his 1st place win. The dog is a high quality Bluetick. I know Jake has mentioned to me before that he has been frustrated lately because of the fact that fewer guys nowadays are looking to breed to the older Smokey River blood. I am in no way shape or form a Blue man, but Fly is no track straddler and hunts like a walker dog.

Good luck-

Bloo28. Breedings a crap shoot, but it sounds like you did some homework so I hope it pays off for you.
