tanning a hide
What is good for tanning a hide, what should I put on it to tann it.
I used the Tannit product that huntsmart sells with good success, but there a 100 different products available. When I was a kid I did it myself with chemicals I purchased from my local pharmacy. Unfortunately, I never did quite get that nice soft skin.
I plan on sending some skins to Moyle Tannery this year.

google "tanning hides", there are alot of diffrent methods, there are commercial tanning kits or methods of doing it yourself, some turn out better than others. Id say try it on a small hide first like a coon or rabbit or something so you dont ruin your good hide. If you run a search on here it should bring up a couple other threads about this. Good luck!
