How would this be scored?
This happened one night while pleasure hunting, but have been curious how it would be handled in a competition. We had three dogs turned out and my male crossed the river by himself and got started on a good track. He ran it hard and finally settled into treeing. I knew he was treed, but something didn't sound quite right. When I got a little closer I could tell that he wasn't staying still. He was treeing on one tree and then running about 30 yards and treeing on another. I thought he'd lost his mind, because he was always a stay put dog. He had coon in both trees. He must have ran them hard because they were both clear to the top and acting nervous. Since it was kill season we were going to shoot them out. As soon as I shot at the first tree the other one jumped. If he hadn't been running back and forth between the two I think one of them would have bailed earlier. I was just curious how it would have been scored, he was by himself the whole time. We ended up getting the other coon after a pretty good chase.

Yep you would have been minused. If you would have tree'ed him on the second tree and he left minus again.

Thanks alot, I was always curious how it would be handled. Never had it happen before or since. Good thing it happened during kill season.
