That box looks good. Good workmanship. You may as well go ahead and put a patent on it and start a business now.

Shannon,

not to bad for a HILLBILLY, LOL.

Seriously though it looks GREAT. Like an old man when I was growing up would say, IT LOOKS STORE BOUGHT-N.

Great job.

Nice Box!

Wow! I don't know the first thing about those boxes but that looks as nice as a brand new "store Bought" one in my eyes!

Cool! Hope it lasts many years and many hunts!

Happy Hunting! Heather and Bob

Thanks everybody! Dad and myself built three boxes. This one is mine, and his is seven inchs narrow than it to fit in a small pick-up. We also built a smaller box that will fit in back of his mule without the top storage. Haven't set down to figure up the final cost just yet but a rough guess on this one would be some where around $300-$350 in material. One similiar to this" store bought n" shipping and all was going to run around $760. Again thanks, I am quit proud of the way it turned out.

you should be!!!!!!

Posted by BlowHardHunter on 03-01-2008 10:06 AM:

May I suggest? Have the doors open the opposite way. By doing that you have a better chance of having your dog hit the right hole. It helps shield them from the wrong hole when both doors are open.

Nothing any more aggravatin than to have both doors open and two dogs shoot in the same side.

This a fine looking box. I am surprised you have that much in material. Those box guys don't have that much room for a labor profit.

some store bought??

Where did you get the doors?

Did you use a break to bend the metal at the front of the roof??

Nice looking box.

Posted by nitechamp bud on 03-01-2008 03:24 PM:

We made the doors.

A friend of ours owns a furnace shop in town, he let us use his break. We would make our cuts here at home and mark it were it needed the bends, haul eveything to town, bend it and haul it back. Being 17 miles from town kinda made it a pain.
