chicken cheasted..........
what causes a pup to be deformed like this with a chicken cheast........from what i have been told by the breeder at least 4 of the pups are like this.........these pups are just a little over 3 months old.......
their parents,,lol..
years ago it never used to stop them from being coondogs,,,check the ped and see what dogs they are linebred from,,more than 1 pup ,there has to be a common link..

that makes a lot of sense if you are reffering to line breeding as the purpose of line breeding is to try and get as close to a genetic match as possible to the dog being line bred but if that dog has a recessive gene that does not show up in the dog but the dog is a carrier, and if enough line bred litters keep coming out increasing the chance of the recessive gene coming out and expressed.
Every male Walker pup I have ever raised had the same condition. I beieve it comes from the high powered puppy feeds and growing too fast. One cod liver gel pill per day from 12 weeks till about 6 months takes care of the problem. Never seen it in a female pup.
thanks for the input i have never raised one that was this way do they grow into it our is something they will have for a life time.........
bad breeding dont think i would want one of these pups our bred to one of them down the road.

Coomer, I bet when that pup is a year old, you will never know it was ever chickenbreasted. Give it the cod liver pill.
i will give it a try jim.........

A chicken breasted dog has better lungs. Most of the time.It usually shows up better on black & blue dogs. It is just nature. Not from line breeding.
