Twas the week before Christmas,
In the Land of the Eer's.
WVU fans were angry,
And some were in tears.

The cause of their anger,
Was because of a man.
Who had been a hero,
To each WVU fan.

Rich Rod was the coach,
Of their football team.
He had helped them to reach,
For the championship dream.

They believed in his wisdom,
And trusted him too.
He was their leader,
What else were they to do?

All of his players,
Looked up to this man.
They followed his orders,
And stuck to his plan.

They ran the spread offense,
Just as he had taught.
But they soon were to learn,
It all had been for naught.

The Mountaineers were successful,
And they won the Big East.
But little did they know,
That their coach was a beast.

But then came 'Black Friday.'
When we all were to learn.
That Rich Rod was leaving,
His bridges to burn.

He was going to scUM,
To be their new coach.
Was this the same man,
That they held above reproach?

The coach they had trusted,
Had lied to his team.
And left them in darkness,
To follow 'his scheme.'

Now the nation has adopted,
The blue and the gold.
We say, 'GO MOUNTAINEERS!'
Be brave and be bold.

Go beat those Sooners,
In the Fiesta Bowl.
And send Rich Rod squirming,
Back into his hole.

Because you deserve better,
Than the coach you have had.
Your team will survive this,
And you all will be glad.

Eric,

I was pulling for OU, but after OU's 2nd offensive series I knew it was going to be a long night for them. OU THOUGHT that they would go down there & TEACH THOSE HILLBILLIES how the game was supposed to be played, BOY DID THEY GET THEIR EYE'S OPENED UP IN A HURRY. All that BRAGGING about how BIG their offensive line was, LOL. nothing but 5 FAT HOGS, that couldn't match the speed & quickness of WVU's, defensive front. SIZE, won't beat SPEED & QUICKNESS very often, I think that was pretty well PROVEN last night. It also looked like the players RESPONDED very well to coach Stewart & the rest of the staff.

Anyway, CONGRATULATIONS to WVU on a GREAT GAME. You all can be PROUD of them, that's for sure.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL, your year sure started out GOOD.
