Sired by Cunninghams Northern Trooper II by a linebred Russ Treein Blue Toad and Luke gyp. Trooper II is Levi/Jet V bred with his dam a dual grand by JBS Chief.

This pup is already started running and treeing and has my son very excited.

Very sharp looking pup! I love his color and build. I hope he makes your son a good one, but sounds like he's doing good so far. Best wishes!

J.V., Yeah, I like that mountain music look. Jay, you are right. I have never seen Russ' Treein Blue Lumber but this pup is a grandson of him. Ademetz Bruiser is also in this dogs background.
Thanks

Gregg

Bruiser goes back to Hammer II as his grand daddy I do believe or it could be that Hammer II. is the sire of Bruiser

Sorry, Jay I thought she was a puppy. It seems as if the cream colored tan has left a lot of blue hound lines.....What has happened to this.

i also like the lighter trim

almost all of the pups off rock are trimmed with this color, even the ones off females that have dark red trim.

john i also see the basic color of our blues getting darker and darker to the point that as they get older they are almost black and the body spots hardly show against the ticking. i believe this is due to people shying away from the lighter colored hounds for breeding.------what most dont realize is that a light colored dog such as my rock or rattler tends to throw a medium BLUE hound on average when bred to a dark female.

light trim

It is becoming less prevelent, I myself like that color trim and the pups are marked pretty consistent like this pup. Thanks for the comments. We'll see how he does again, all by himself this weekend full of training.

LIGHT CREAM TRIM

I really like the cream colored trim as well. I've seen it in several different strains and have and old male dog at home with lighter trim. Alot of Russ Downing bred dogs seem to have it by way of Lumber and Toad (who was all blue, go figure?). Some of Russ' old females I think were colored in this way also. It always seems to accompany a darker "blue" colored dog as opposed to lighter blues that have a richer tan trim. Just my observation. I do like it. That pup of Greg's in the picture is just awesome looking to me. Greg, if your boy brings him to Bluetick Days I will be trying my ****dest to fill his pockets with dead presidents.

JV, If memory serves me, the Bruiser dog is out of some 'PR' dogs up close, Haughs Blue Orly sticks in my mind for some reason as the sire. It's quite likley I think that it all goes back to Hammer II.

Looks great! Sounds like the pup is starting real nice too.

Good luck.

You are correct the Orly dog was sired by Hammer II.
