HILLBILLY

What happened to this hound ? There for a while it was all folks in Mich. was talking about He is off Hammer XVIII. and a jet female wan't he ? I have heard a lot of good things about him then all at once I hear nothing of him. I have heard also that another Jet female or maybe more have been bred to Hammer XVIII. and haven't heard any of those results as to what came out of these crosses.

REALLY? WHICH ONES WOULD THOSE BE?

HAVE YOU HUNTED WITH HILLBILLY AND HIS WORLD CLASS HANDLERS? I HAVE. AND I CAN GUARANTEE YOU HE IS A MAN-MADE GR.NT.CH IF EVER THERE WAS ONE. IS HE A LOUD HARD TREE DOG THAT'S QUICK ON BOTH ENDS? YEP. WILL HE PULL SLICK TREES ALL NIGHT THAT SOMEHOW GET PLUSSED? YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT. WILL HE LEAVE A SLICK TREE AND GET SLICK TREED AGAIN 100 FEET AWAY? OH YEAH. FUNNY HOW THE CYBER COONHUNTER WORLD LIKES TO HYPE UP A HOUND THAT IS WINNING IN THE HUNTS , THEN WHEN HE TURNS OUT TO BE A DUD IN THE STUD PEN WONDER WHAT HAPPENED. WHERE ARE THESE REALLY NICE HOUNDS YOU SPEAK OF?

Here Piggy Piggy

You know a little word or phrase will always bring out the truth, No I myself have not hunted with this hound I have heard good things about him from the handlers that hunt him that told this or that one how great thou was. But to be honest with you I had my doubts about this hound from the start, and I can believe what ever you know about him, and his handlers. This hound will stay for sale,

You guys crack me up.

I have hunted with the Hillbilly dog several times pleasure and comp. I am NOT one of the guys that handled him in the hunts. But had I been handling him at Autum Oaks last year he would have been the National Grand Nite. I still have what I called him on written on a Mcdonalds napkin, all honest points no need to cheat as it was a napkin and not a scorecard. I guess the world class handler was off a bit but still won his cast. Kicked a pretty popular English dogs arse. I will withhold that dogs name to save him the embarrasment. I am almost sure a money grudge hunt can be aranged anytime, Vaught or Piglicker you in ?????

I will leave the money deal hunts to you professionals like you Oswald, or any others. I know for a while its all you could hear then all at once that was ended...As far as you putting a score on a napkin well I cracked up over that myself.......If he won like you say .............WHAT HAPPENED ???????????? that caused him not to win........

John

This may take 2 posts so here goes. Hillbilly or "T" as we call him was ran in two Purina races. He placed 10th and 5th in two years with limited hunts. Lack of money, heartworms and a kennel partnership breakup kept him from doing better. He wasnt bred until late and his oldest pups are around a year and a half old. I have heard of a few that are real nice and I have hunted with one that Milkyblue owns that is very real nice. I dont think he was pushed properly as a stud dog but that is just my opinion. I do not own a hair on his head but I would like to. I cant cheat my family of the kind of money it will take to purchase T. I do think he would have an impact on the Bluetick breed. Dave

As far as a coonhound goes he is a dog, he misses some but he can and does get under a coon fast and hard. He is loud and can be called by any kid. The Oaks hunt I talked of he was being handled by one of the world class handlers as Pigsticker mentioned. I was just calling the dog and writing it on the napkin from a distance. The real handler was not feeling well and maybe was a little nervous of the high dollar english stud dog in the cast. T won the cast the high dollar dog looked silly and the score on the card wasnt enough to win, but the napkin was lol. I have seen a $500 grudge hunt turned down cuz someone cussed this dog. The man didnt want to loose his money with my wife doing the handling in the grudge hunt lol, sceerd I reckon. The dog is bred great, looks good and needs promoted better. Dave

Sounds like a hound that some man needs

that would push him to limit....I again wondered what happen to him, and that I have heard a lot of good things about him, but then after piggy wiggy post what he did I had to wonder about what he really was considering the situation that surround the dog. If he is this good, and no doubt he is after you stating this on the board he should sell like a hotcake. How old is this hound time may be a factor here........

TAKE HIM

OUT OF N. INDIANA/S. MICH, TAKE THE LEAVES OFF, GIVE HIM A STRAIGHT HANDLER, TAKE AWAY THE FEEDERS, HE IS JUST ANOTHER HOUND. I DO NOT DOUBT HIS ABILITY TO GET UNDER A COON NOW AND THEN. QUICK AND STYLISH FOR SURE. HIGH DOLLAR? SURE HES WORTH A FEW GRAND WITH THAT FANCY TITLE AND BIG LIST OF WINS FROM HIS OWN BACKYARD. HOW BAD DO YOU WANT HIM? THERE ARE COUNTERFEIT GRAND NITE CHAMPIONS FOR SALE ALL OVER THE PLACE. I GOT MOUTHS TO FEED. NO HIGH DOLLAR DOGS IN THE PIG PEN. IF I NEEDED ONE I'D GO UP TO DEANS PLACE, GIT A PUP OUTTA 18, RAISE EM UP MY WAY, MAKE HIM A GR.NT.CH THE HONEST WAY,GAIN THE RESPECT OF YOUR PEERS. WHY WOULD I BUY THIS DOG FOR BIG MONEY WHEN HIS SIRE IS STILL ALIVE AND PRODUCING? I'LL GET MY OWN WITHOUT THE ATTACHED STIGMAS AND BS. YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. THE NEXT BIG DEAL? I DOUBT IT.

GRUDGE MATCHES? FOR MONEY? NON HUNTING JUDGES RIGHT PAL? LEAVES OFF? HOW'S A WEEKS PAY SOUND? NOT SURE WHAT KINDA WAGE THESE PROFESSIONAL HANDLERS DRAW THESE DAYS, ONLY WHAT PAYS THE BILLS IN THE PEN. HOW ABOUT IN TX OR KS OR MS OR GA? HOW ABOUT AT VAUGHTS PLACE IN KY? HE CAN JUDGE FOR HISSELF, SEE WHO'S ON THE LEVEL. NAW IT WILL HAVE TO BE IN MICH WHERE THE COON ONLY RUN 50 YARDS BEFORE TREEIN, AND MY FEEDER BUCKETS HAVE JUST BEEN FILLED. THAT WAY WE'LL ALL LOOK DANDY.

PEACE, PROSPERITY, AND LOVE TO YOU ALL,

THE PIG

Yes John time is a factor as T is coming six this summer and has a bad wheel to boot (arthritc right shoulder). Although that didnt slow him much last year at Bluetick days T won his cast carrying his frt right foot lol. I would dearly love to own him as I said I have hunted with the dog many times and I like him. MilkyBlue has a very nice young male off T. I have seen him go on several ocassions he will be making some noise with him soon he is only one and a half.
Piglicker I mentioned this post to Jeff he said the grudge hunt sounds good to him. He will have to check on the purse though. He also mentioned if you could wash off the yellow stripe down your back and tell us your name it would make it easier to set up a hunt rofl. Dave

THE END IS NEAR

AW, CMON NOW DAVE WHAT FUN WOULD THAT BE. I'VE RETHOUGHT THIS SITUATION. NOW I THINK THAT HILLBILLY IS GREAT. IN FACT I WANNA BUY HIM. $10 GRAND, THAT ENUFF FER THIS WONDER DOG? THAT SHOULD GET OLE JEFF ENOUGH TWINKIES TO LAST A YEAR. MAYBE THEN I'LL HIRE HIM TO WIN ALL THE HUNTS FER ME IN FINE FASHION. FUNNY I NEVER DID POINT A FINGER AT HIM, BUT YOU KNEW WHO THE CULPRIT WAS DIDN'T YA DAVE. MAYBE YOU'RE FROM THE SAME SCHOOL? I DON'T KNOW YA AND WON'T PRETEND TO, BUT I KNOW YOUR BUDDY, AND I'VE DRAWN HIM ENOUGH AND SEEN THE TRUTH. THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE PEOPLE, AND IT AIN'T MUCH TO BE PROUD OF.

THAT'S IT FROM THE PIG.

Posted by CountryMile on 03-20-2004 06:03 PM:

Indiana Man

I didnt feel that you said anything wrong or tried to start a bashing tread. It was all Piglicker, he prolly got his tail whipped by Hillbilly a couple times now he has to run his lips and hide behind his yellow stripe. I also have had Queen here and hunted her some. I would think Rons Dancer dog will cross real nice. Let me know when you are going to make this cross. I bet I could place a couple pups for you. Dave
