Country Boy Question

My wife and I have been invited to an "occasion" and it says evening casual dress,what is evening casual?I don't own a jacket and she doesn't own a dress so I hope we're not SOL,LOL cause I'd really like to go.

I think "nice"jeans and a polo shirt are now considered acceptable for evening casual for men not sure on the ladies though!

Casual dress means looking presentable but not to dolled up.

Casual Dress for men would be:
a good pair of jeans(a good pair of wranglers would do),a presentable shirt(button up)but not to fancy if you know what I mean like striped or something along those lines. and your boots or a good pair of tennis shoes.

Casual dress for women:
I would go with a nice shirt could be button up or a wrangler shirt, nice pair of jeans, and boots. Or a nice shirt, jeans, and tennis shoes would do.

This is what school always tells us anyways.

i presume if you got a card of some sort that says evening casual dress its more important than a little get to geather around someones grille- so id say dress pants, nice button up shirt for you/ blouse for your wife, dress shoes, maybe your wife could wear some nice jewlery but nothing too big and flashy, ect. no caps/hats, no tattoos showing, no worn out shoes, no stains, rips, ect on clothes.

cool thanks for all the help.I like christy's advice on covering the can ring LOL any excuse works for me.Maybe I can wear the cool shirt they gave at the world finals.
