mullin's fiest
would like some info and possibly pics of some Mullin's fiest, size? open or still? grit? I live in north east Tx. anyone raise any type all purpose fiest dog in Tx., Ok., Ar.? I presently hunt Black & Tans but my coonhunting days maybe about over due to heart condition. Would possibly be interested in a smaller type hunting dog that didn't range out too far. Anyone with any info thanks in advance. Richard white
I have one registered Mullins Feist Female (pictured below). She is only a little over a year old and is just now starting to show much promise in the woods. She will hunt hard if the game is moving but if not, she would just asoon come get a pettin!LOL I think she is going to come on good come winter and the leaves fall. Our thing here is the Mullins Stock Feist which we have 3 adults of. One is a close hunter who is deadly accurate, can timber like no tomarrow but doesn't bark every breath, more or less just enough to really let you find her. My dads male is a medium hunter that is a lock down, slobber mouth, bark every breath style tree dog. He will break your eardrums and if he truely believes there is a squirrel in the tree than you can't call him off, you have to pull him off. The other one is about the same age as the little Mullins Female and started hunting hard at 3 months. He is just now starting to bark at squirrels but should come on like gang busters come winter! He is out of the other two dogs! That is proving to be a killer cross with my pup being the abnormal of the group. One of the pups had over 40 squirrels killed out to him before the end of season (before he was a year old) another has been getting all kinds of coons shot down to him!! This is more normal for this cross as it is a good treeing dog cross. We have another litter on the ground now and I will be advertising them before long. If you are interested then let me know!
Our dogs are ranging in size from the smallest (the Mullins female) being about 18 pounds to the largest (my dads male Mullins Stock) weighing in about 32 pounds. They are gritty little dogs that are some awsome tree dogs. I reccomend the Mullins Stock to any one wanting a good hunting feist!!!

Thanks for the info Hillgirl where are ya'll located I've got kinfolk in the Hot Springs, Amity, Glenwood areas all hunters, they hunt coon, deer, squirrel. richard
I like the looks of your little female is red & white the basic colors of ya'll's dogs?
I am located about 10 miles from a little stop in the road called Leslie. Leslie is about 30 miles North of Clinton(hwy 65), 60 miles South of Harrison(hwy 65) or 26 miles West of Mtn View (hwy 66) but if coming from Mtn View we are not completely to Leslie, but rather 3 miles South of Oxley.
About the colors of our dogs! Well, we have two pairs of Feists here and only one pair is old enough to be producing pups. We have two red with black mask and two red and white. I really don't know what color this little female I posted will throw because the registered Mullins Feists are normally red. They figure there is something like 90% of them red, 5% black and 5% red/white. Now in the Mullins Stock Feist (a cross between Mullins and another breed of Feist), they can be nearly any color. The two litters of pups we have raised here have been mostly solid red with a few being red with a black mask. Out of two litters (one litter of 7 and one litter of 6) we have gotten 4 red/white ones (1 male and 3 females). Now crossing Gidget (the little female pictured) with Toby (my red w/blk mask male) I am expecting to get alot more white. The reason being is that my male is out of the pair we raise pups from. His sire is red/white so crossed back on a red/white I am expecting ALOT of color!!! If you are looking for a nice red/white pup that has loads of good breeding and ALOT of potential, take a look at the Cur & Feist classafied section, I just posted our recent litter on there. As of right now we have two red/white females for sale and one looks almost exactly like the female I posted here!!! This one hot cross and I DO have referances on them if interested.
Here are the two red/white females.
Myself, I like both the reds and red/white dogs. I think my red male is a WHOLE lot prettier as far as pretty than the red/white female but when it comes to just flat out adorible then Gidge has him beat!!!LOL
