Hunting lights

Any of yall have a Bright Eyes Eliminator light? If so how do you like it?I'm going to be buying a new light here soon and would like some input.Thanks.

I've had a Bright Eyes Terminator for about three years and haven'y had any problems with it,i got a Cajun belt light last year,it has been trouble free also, but doesn't have the burn time of the Bright Eyes.

jimmie had a little black box light that had to be charged with the light head and when this light was charged it was the brightest light i have seen , it was made by a man in ok city and i can not think of the name of it. - maxine-

I would go with the Bandit belt light, or a Coonbuster. I use the Bandit, but Dad uses a 20 volt Coonbuster and they are both very bright and durable.

western rivers

i have a western rivers 20 volt. i loved this light for first 2 years but now it wont hold a charge. went dead last night in a night hunt after bout 1hour and a half. is that all i can expect from 20 volt light is 2 years. where would be the best place to buy replacement battery. do i have to get western river battery or are they all interchangable. thanks

Dont know how widspread they are but the light of choice around these parts is an action light made by a guy in Hendersonville I think. Right now I use a 6v hotlight but will soon be getting the action light. Dont know anyone who has had any problems and they are very bright and hold a charge very well. Only thing I dont like that I have seen is it doesnt have the rehostat switch and the first click on the low side is pretty darn bright.

Bright Eyes....

I know Ray personally. He has the best warranty and will make it right if one of his lights is faulty. I have been a field tester for many of the Bright Eyes products and have been very pleased with each one.

i guess i'm stuck in the old days. i cut my teeth on a 6volt nite battery with wheat head. i don't use the acid battery anymore but still use a 6 volt w/ the 5100 head w/ 4 volt bulb. it's not as bright as some of the others but it's not expensive and burn time is good (don't have to charge every night).

i had a cajun and a bright eyes, but went back to old faithful.

All I have owned is Cajun lights. I had a Stinger + for 8 years. I gave it to my dad. I have a new Stinger + and I guess I will have it for a while. My dad bought a belt like called a "K Light" It has been good for him. Don't know much about it. I also have a Bandit 20V. light and it is a good one. Don't use it much, it is my back up light. But I suggest the Cajun lights

Sherrif Andy, Have you finished Sounder out yet? He seemed pretty nice. Good luck. Hope to run into you at another hunt.

Belt light

Made by Dave McClendon, it is" The Light Connection ". By far the most dependable, very bright, and lite-weight, you can not tell you have it on. I bought it last year at Indiana Walker Days and it has been trouble free, I have never blown a bulb or fuse. THE BEST LIGHT ON THE MARKET !!!!! I have tried all of them, and a great warranty 2 + 2, you cant beat it, bottom line !!!

I was looking at new lights last night in bloodlines and was wonding what the difference in the Nicad and NiHM batteries was. Some lights offer both. Is one better than the other?

Hawk32,i'm not positive but i think that the NIMH batteries are memory free and charge faster than the NiCad's.

I really like the Bandit Lights myself.

Posted by foxhound on 03-16-2004 03:57 AM:

sunburst lights ?

does anybody use the sunburst lights?

i dont actually have coonhounds yet but my buddies do and i am getting tired of borrowing their extra lights so i have been looking at the sunburst lights for myself so some input would be great.

later, dave

Posted by dkrause on 03-16-2004 07:06 AM:
