How many are getting geared up to bow hunt?

Season opens here in N.C. (Surry Co.) this Saturday. It's been so hot and dry it's been hard to get fired up about it.

I'd rather bow hunt than gun hunt.

You got a big-un staked out?

Bow Hunting

Craig good post! Yepper I'm getting ready, can't wait my favorite time of the year! I like bow hunting more than gun hunting anyday. Got more than one bign staked out, saw three gooduns
while scouting off of my horse the other day. That new Diamond Black Ice can't get here quick enough!!!!

Heck yea!

Just bought me a new bow for the season. Set it up today and shot awhile. Man these new bows are awesome. Never thought I would be able to shoot the first pin from zero to thirty yards. The new Reflex line is something else. I bought the Growler. It is I.B.O. rated at 303. Tweaked and tuned a little and have it shooting around 312 with a 24" arrow. Our season opens the 15th of October. Already have a big Ol'Mack Daddy picked out. He loves the C'mere deer.

Happy hunting and good luck.

I havn't been taking the time to practice like I used too but we are getting ready to go. Comes in the first of Oct here. My brother has been fired up about it since about April and came up tonight to shoot. Man you could tell who had been shooting the most!!LOL!! I do love it though...always see a bunch of deer that time of the year.

Where is the best place to get info on bows? My daughter got to shoot a bow for the first time a few days ago at the fair and that is all I have heard about since! LOL. I have no clue about anything dealing with them and would really like to know what I can before I buy her one. I did ask the guy showing her and he said she was shooting a compound, left handed.???? Any in put is welcomed. Sandi

Our season opens Sep.22nd.I been watching a good'un the last couple weeks. Can't wait.Good luck to everybody.

Sandi you might try going to Archerytalk.com and reading on there and ask alot of questions they will help you out there. Then the next step would be to find a pro shop in your area and go shoots some bows that are in your price range. good luck

Razoo97 my father-in-law shoots a Diamond Black Ice.Man they are sweet.Quite as a feather and have plenty of speed. You will love it.

No acorns around here. Deer should be easy to draw in with bait, if that's what you do.

I shoot a Matthews, and I really like it. It is an older bow, the Q2 series, but it's fast and quiet.

By the way, if you sleep in your stand, your timing has got to be good!

I will be happy to get my oldest boy a shot at a doe. We have our blind all set on a pinch point for a 12-15 yard shot.
