Need info on Stylish Hayes blood

What type of dogs did he produce? I would like to know the good and bad(respectfully). We are gonna breed to a direct son of Hayes that is a real nice coon dog a buddy of mine owns here in AR.

I don't know how many Hayes dogs the man hunted with that thought they were lazy. I have owned several out of old Hayes & hunted with several others and lazy is the last word I would use to describe them. Most were med size dogs with good mouths that you could hear a long way. They were treeee dogs with enough grit to stay with most anything. Better than most about having a coon but not 100%, which if the truth is told most aren't. I wish that I had some more out of old Hayes.

Just my opinion

Good--loud mouths, good treedogs, accurate, reproducers, personable, will tree a lot of lay-ups, almost ideal locates, independent, hardly ever get tired

Bad--UGLY,might stumble on a few more tracks than they should, as they get older they start locating more.

This can go either way depending on one's preference, but they tend not to give much mouth on a track. I like it, but others may not.

hardknocken stylish flip

my flip dog is a real nice yung dog he just turnd 2 he can tree coons his mom and alot of other dogs cant even smell and he dont take all night to do it. with strange dogs 90% of the time he,ll be by his self .
he dont get deep alot becouse he takes tracks as he comes to them he dont blow out of the ****ry looking for a hot track. huge bawl mouth on track. now the bad part he bawls more than he chops on the tree . but he is a one bark tree dog a kid could call his locate .good about having the coon and no trash. around 85 lb
no fat on him

A lot of them got their looks from their daddy. Old Hayes wasn't a show dog but he sure did throw some nice coondogs. Jimmy Guess was a nice man to deal with also. Every now and then you would get a pup that was pretty good size and I always thought that was coming from Stylish Lipper part.

bred our old julie out of creek ridge sky who was out of river bend flag and wendy direct out of old clover to hayes... 8 pups all ran and treed, one was grand night pine ridge emma who produced ss champ pine ridge chic... they were kind quirky, some bit rough-so was their momma though... best cross made on a dog that was a strong reproducer... also bred a female out of julie and casey- nice dog, casey and julie's dam were littermates to hayes, decent-nothing exceptional in that cross.... hayes threw some nice hounds and shows up in some good pedigrees...probably should have went back to him with julie, but didn't, hindsight always better....

Hunted with ALOT of dogs out of Hayes and I liked them. They can have a lazy streak, they are generally decent to good track dogs, medium/cold nosed, good mouths on most of em, most of them were had a nice hound mouth on the ground and AWESOME locate and were decent steady chop mouth tree dogs, majority of the time stay put tree dogs, pretty decent lay up dogs, and some of the very very nice dogs out of Hayes were EXTREMELY NICE!.
