Hound Hunting Study in VA.

The Va Department of Game and Inland Fisheries (www.dgif.virginia.gov) are going to be doing a study on hound hunting in our state. If you go to the web site at the beginning it refers to deer/fox hunting with hounds but at the end it also refers to raccoon hunting and Bear hunting with hounds. As most of you Va. houndsman know they tried and were unsuccessful with doing away with our right to retrieve. You guys in Southwest Va. don't get lulled to sleep thinking this is only going to affect Fox/Deer hunting with hounds east of the Blue Ridge. I know most of the game wardens frown upon any type of hound activity. There is only one person on the Game commission board that favors the houndsmen. This study couldl greatly affect how we free cast our hounds in the future.
