minnesota flooding

been raining here for two days now. 8-10 inches of rain.im gonna try and get some pics of the flooding on here.its crazy.

The river here in owatonna is flooded real bad, my yard is all water and the roads are all covered over with water.

It started raining here this morning got about 1" so far still raining. We need more it's really been dry here. I only got 1 crop of alfalfa this year. Grasshoppers and the drought got the second crop. I don't want what you guys are getting but could use a couple more inches if it don't come too fast. Hope you people in southern MN are okay. Stay safe. Keep the dogs above water.

Life here is good.. Awful dry for the hounds.. they sound like vacuum cleaners going through the woods.. When is the State hunt?

Bob.. Still not a drop of rain here.. looks like it could have all day.. but not a drop... We missed a huge hail storm on Friday near Rapid City SD.. they had baseball size hail and had to close down the interstate due to all the cars on it with broken windows... Glad i wanted to take 85 and head into Spearfish and Deadwood.. we would have drove right into it!! Luck was on our side there!!! What a mess tho.. those poor people!! Thanks for the great time in Hewitt also!!! I always have a great time there!! Thank you!!

A little further east of me got 16 in and more to come. My hunting area's are flooded out so I cant get in. Unless I walk through water and mud for a half mile. NOT. LOL. Needs to dry some 1st.

It finally quite raining here but more coming. a few kennels of mine have been flooded (ones i have not been able to finish yet) and one kennel has collapsed from the tarp holding it down. i was out there working on it while it rained but luckily my dog is ok and we have extra kennels that are finished.

I've got about 2 1/2 feet of water in my basement. I'll be up all night checking the pumps. The road into town was underwater all night but thankfully the Root River isn't at my front door yet. I live about 200 feet from the river but it always floods the other way and puts the city park under before it comes my way.

those are some pretty crazy pictures. rivers are getting high down here in Iowa now. going to have to put the two dogs I have tied out, in the shop for the night so they dont get washed away.

my dad was fishing a tournament on the mississippi today in guttenburg. He said it was fine in the morning but about noon it got muddy. and at the end of the day It was complete mud lots of trees floating down the river.

Sounds like a real mess!!! My daughter and family drove up to Owatonna on Friday to visit my son Jim and his family, so they will have some good stories to tell when they get back on Monday. Wasn't the fair going on this week, too? Sorry to hear about the mess you are having to put up with. Take care, Ron.

I live in owatonna, if your ever up let me know we will go hunting. But ya the fair was going on this week and it was perfect all week until saturday and the rain really screwed it up saturday and sunday but there were still a lot of people here.
