Coon Dog Cemetery Celebration

You can find the Coon Dog Cemetery 7 miles west of Tuscumbia on U.S. Hwy 72. Turn left on Alabama Hwy 247, and travel approximately 12 miles. Then turn right, and follow the signs.

Is this kind of like a big get together, or are they having a hunt. I am familiar with the cemetary, just not the Celebration.

I was just wandering, b/c I might come up there.

Thanks

I think it is just a gathering.

Saw it on tv a time or two.
I've been there. Very, very interesting for any and all coonhunters. Took my kids when they were 7 or 8 and they still remember it.
Still got some pics somewhere.

Each Labor Day, the Tennessee Valley Coon Hunter’s Association host a celebration at the cemetery. Entertainment includes music, dancing, food and a liar's contest.

There is no hunt or show. It's a a celebration event.
