We have cut the dogs out at about midnight the nights we have gone and have seen coons half the time. Maybe you should try it one night.

I HAVE BEEN HUNTING AROUND 9 PM AN HAVE HAD ALOT OF LUCK. BUT WE HUNT AROUND CREEKS ALOT.

I need to get out soon. It has been a while and I have a young pup around a year old that needs to get in the woods. Just wish I could find someone in my area to run her with. The last time I officially took her out was the end of season and she showed some serious interest when she was fighting the coon. She has good blood in her just need some time for her. SHe has gotten loose a couple of times and ran around doing who knows what. The last time she was chasing the house cats. Tonight while I was cleaning her pen the house cats decided to come and see what I was doing and she started treeing them. Can't wait to put her back in the woods.

We turned loose last night about 10 and it was 83. Got tree'd twice and saw 1. Have not hunted as much this year as I did the last summer but we do go some. Seems like we always have better hunts during the warm months. Coon have so much more to eat on and the tracks are shorter this time of year. Been trying to hunt my young dog and the smaller dogs when it gets this hot. I have a couple that just can't take the heat.
