I-35 Bridge Collapse in Twin Cities, MN

Please pray for everyone and their familys. This is one of the most heavily traveled roads and the bridge over the mississippi river collapsed during evening rush hour.

Bad deal. I sure hope it isn't as tragic as it looks on TV. I've been checking on family and friends in the Twin Cities area.

sad thing, i live here in the twin cities and have crossed that bridge many times. i just hope we can get threw this with not alot of deaths. not sounding good though. jim hill, glad you made it.. i knew you been working out that way,Travis

ya i was working right up by there was on that bridge 3 times last week working that way just hope we dont lose to many folks its a weird feeling is all i know

i'm with you guys, i crossed the bridge this morning going to work, also would of been crossing it tonight on my way home, super close to the time it happened, but was working in st.paul at the end of the day and took 35 east home intstead, also 2 hours before it happened i was working with a mile of the bridge. my thoughts and prayers go out to everyone that got caught in the horific accident, and to the police, fireman/women, and all other involved in recovery and rescue thanks for everything you done, sometimes these people are overlooked. it goes to show anything can happen at anytime, so don't ever take life for granted. i'm sure this will go national so most will be able to see on there home news within the next couple days.

As of a few minute's ago their sayin 7 have parished. That's just crazy how something like that can happen. I have tripped across that one myself a pile of time's.

My prayers to all involved in this tragedy. I worked for MNDOT for almost 40 yrs. never seen anything like this. I worked with bridge insp. at various times and I can tell you that they were very good at what they did. I will be watching this closely as to what caused this. This bridge carried 149,000 vehicles daily and was 40 yrs old. Not really old as bridges go. It was a steel failure as I understand. As I said thought and prayers to all.

I worked for a company based out of Fridley & know a plie of people in that country. Havn't seen any of the company truck's there though.

Did ya see the footage from the security camera of it goin down ? Sent a chill up my spine just watchin it.

Who did you work for from fridley? Theres a group doing our road in front of the house from around there.

I was a technical support specialist for Plunkett's pest control & still technically am. Now if they could get my egg's un-scrambled I'd go back in a heart beat.The green & white truck's.

traffic was bumper to bumper, there are alot of cars in the bottom of the river. sure wasn't many on top of the bridge for bumper to bumper traffic.. that was a horrific story about the guy who was crushed and pinned and was able to call his family and say goodbye..really sad.
