I've got a 6yr. old female that I can't catch in heat. she's a littleover weight could that keep her from coming in. Any body got any ideas on how to bring her in . she's a 4 way champion and just all around good hound would like to get a pup off of her

could be a hyper thyroid problem
It could be this heat. Maybe this fall when it cools down a little she will come in.
put her around other females that are getting ready to come in or are already in. that worked with mine for a while.
Dr
Dr. Ashley Miller can give you some information on bringing a female into season. Her contact information is 601-776-5326. I hope this helps and good luck. Shes in MS.

female wont come
Get her tuned up for brookton the 18, shell cme in for sure! lol
My old female who turned 10 this spring use to come in heat like clock work once per year in june or july. didnt have a heat cycle in the last 2 years . and i read something to the effect that some people were feeding diamond were haveing the same problems i was haveing . i switched feed, and last month she came in heat.im not slamming diamond but 2 months after i switched she came in .i had 2 other females in the yard and when one started the other one did but not the old dog. i know i didnt miss her cause i check . really ticked me off cause i had it set up to breed her.musta been something that was lacking in that feed in her case .

wife raises beagles.. when one comes in they all seem to start coming in right away.. not being mean here but just like women, they all want to do the same thing at the same time..

ill think it over, pete and i both in the same shape ,fat and slow but at least i wont be chasing bear over the border lol ! got a call into the Birches, see ya wed or thurs pm
I dont know about the heat cycles, but it could be diamond. My hounds were having loose stools, dirty ears ears, hair was dry and thin. Switched to Black Gold, and everything is well. They eat less, have less waste, hair looks good, and their ears stay cleaner longer. I'm not the first person to notice this but the changes were amazing. It costs me 3.00 a bag more but its worth it.
i feed diamond and aint had no problems, and i know a lot of people who have had problems with black gold. and as far as it making a dull coat n dirty ears etc maybe its just ur dog cuz the only bath mines had is maybe when it crosses the creek, and u can look at her for urself if u want clean reall shiney coat, clean ears everything. diamond wasnt the reason ur dog was like that. but it could be the reason for the heat cycle, my female is almost 2 and has only came in once.
