What % of support does your club have ?
I was just wondering what % of entries your club has PKC vs. UKC ? The club here in my home town, doesn't even have PKC hunts....Matter a fact there is only 1 within 50 miles. I was just wondering what the #'s were everywhere else. Thanks in advance !
club
ours here in GA. has about equal support. we have a PKC hunt every month, and the maximum 7 UKC hunts per year. I personally like the UKC one better. Rules are easier to understand.

Pkc does good here especially with the week night 1 hour hunts. But Ukc does good as well in this area.

Our club doesn't hold PKC events but we have been holding AKC events. UKC participation is down everywhere and so far AKC is drawing equal, if not, more dogs per event.
Our club enjoys both registrys, it just happens that the "workers" in the club enjoy AKC.
Our club holds 12 PKC hunts, 8 AKC hunts and 7 UKC hunts. The PKC averages 12.5 dogs, AKC is at 11 dogs per event and UKC averages about twice the other two. Our PKC/AKC hunts are about 80% club members, UKC entries are about 20% club members.
Just a quick reply to Jim's post. JMO but with all the different registries out there I believe that's what's hurting the hunt numbers for all of them. I'd be nice if the registeries could work together and not compete against one another as much again just my opion.
My club has had 5 UKC hunts each of the last few years and at least 1 PKC hunt per month. The last few UKC hunts have averaged 12-20 dogs per night. Of the last few PKC hunts, there haven't been enough entries to put a cast in the woods. We have 2 more PKC hunts and then we are dropping them.
There are 3 other clubs within about an hour. None of them have any PKC or AKC events but all 3 have 4 or more UKC hunts per year and draw about the same as my club.
