Anyone near I-70 in eastern Co.

I am going to Eastern Colorado next month to visit family and look around at a few houses and was wondering if anyone coon hunts out there? Is there much public hunting land out there? My family thats out there doesn't hunt but said they thought you had to get drawn out for tags? Is it hard to get a tag for resident hunters out there? I like to hunt anything that moves but I would hate to live in a place thats real expencive or hard to just get to hunt.

Jacob, Dont know for sure where your going out there but most everything east of denver is flat and no trees. And when i say no trees i mean it. there are some places north of denver and south of denver but its pretty desolet out there. Good luck

Thats all the better. Less chance my dog will slick tree. haha I guess you shoot coons off light poles out there. There DNR website has coons listed on there so surely someone hunts them.
