ukc night hunt dog vs dog ?

ok if i go to a ukc night hunt and i want to hunt my ukc reg cur dog with the hounds can i hunt with them? i was told at the state hunt that i had to hunt with the curs and was not able to hunt for the dog box they where giving away. if we all have ukc reg dogs and play by the same rules why can i not hunt my cur? we hunt blues with walkers and all that?? and i never saw a rule that said that a ukc reg dog was any diff than any other ukc reg dog.

Curs can't hunt with hounds in UKC.
Curs CAN hunt with hounds in PKC.
Curs can't hunt at all in AKC.

Aren't most cur dogs silent?

truebluefordman- I believe we dont play by the exact same rules. One example I know of is in the Cur rules squirrels and possums are deleted instead of minused. I think there might be a couple other different rules.
