Scoring Question
We had a club hunt last night and this happened.
3 dog cast
Dog A,B,C all struck go into a check with 30sec left dog A finds rabbit and drives it out. Dog B,C have crossed the road where we know the rabbit did not go but they start driving a rabbit allso. Dog A now Pulls to Dog B,C.
We got threw it ok and came up with two ways to score it but we need to know the right way.
Thanks in advance.

my thoughts...
3 Dog Cast & All Dogs Are Struck and go into check...
w/ 30sec left dog A finds the rabbit and drives it out (as long as majority of the cast agrees that dog A has recovered the track to a runable state) reward the check (+20)
if the cast agrees dogs B,C have crossed the road where the rabbit (the one they struck in on) has never been and opens on a different rabbit.... minus dogs B,C thier called strike points and restrike them in for the next available position.
when dog A pulls to B,C dog A then minuses its called strike position and gets restruck for next available.
just my thoughts based on the way its described...

*** when its unknown what rabbit is the original rabbit don't minus the dogs, just split the track.... if it was unknown in this situation you wouldn't minus B,C.... but you would A when A pulls to B,C

if the next available strike points would be 25, would both dogs get 25, or the first dog that struck (e.g. B) get 25 and (e.g. C) get 0 points?
Rabbitgunner, there is no 0 strike points, when all positions are taken dog gets 25, example..... dogs A,B,C, & D are all struck in that order, dog D is declared split, dogs A,B &C all pull to dog D, they all get minused and have to be restruck , since Dog D is still carrying 25 strike points all 3 of the other dogs go back in for 25, you can not strike in over a called position , but if a postion becomes open it can get confusing, lets say same strike order as above but dog A is declared split and B,C,&D all pull to him.....In this senario 2nd 3rd & 4th strike become available and dogs can recieve 75, 50 & 25. Hope this helps and doesn't confuse you.
