Somebody sent this to me a while back. Go to the website below and click on the video link. It might take a while to load, but it's pretty good. Hope everybody enjoys it.

I trail rode with some horses sired by that horse a few years ago .They had plenty of speed & where nice enough trail horses.
A smooth ride
I rode Racking Horses in the 1980s while I was living in Arkansas. They are wonderful trail horses for enjoying long, relaxing rides. Also seem to be sensible and very easy to handle.

Ive had a horse or two out of him they was ok but they was no compare to our horses out of ragin cajun. Weve got three out of cajun and we ride them bare back with just a shipping halter as fast and far as we want. We have clock our big stud horse with a gps at 29 mph racking i truly beleive that he will faster but i aint gonna push him
Lee,
Rowdy and Johnny were both from here. Both Rowdy and Johnny are gone now but that strain of horses are still the big thing here. When I used to fool with them I usually kept a standard bred, most of the Rowdy line were just a little to small for me, Ive road with a bunch of them though and the majority of them were quick and smooth. Their spirited little things to.
Racking horses are the big thing here in this little county I live in, I know of 4 or 5 World speed racking champions, just in this little county alone. Rowdy, Action Jackson, Va. Undertaker. Theres a good story behind the rowdy horse and his owner.

I raise Tenn. Walkers, but I always liked those speed racking horses. I have a Walking Horse filly that will do about 18mph. Nothing close to those speed horses, I know. My dad has shown walking horses since before I was around. PETA and the USDA will soon make showing performance Walking Horses a thing of the past.

18mph is moving pretty good, especially for a Walking horse, you'd be suprised, most of the speed rackers dont travel much faster than that, if they do, they've more than likely swaped to another gear but just do it in enough style that it still looks right. I may get hung for that one but in most cases its true. Its not true with all of them, but with a big % of them it is.

I am of the belief a horse can't rack the speed some claim.
You haven't seen some that I have then!!!!

I have seen several but I hear people talk about how many mile per hour a horse can rack & it's comparable to paceing track records. In my opion once the get past a point they are doing something other than racking JMO.
You might be right, they may be pacing. But still fast

Mine is racking, not pacing at 18 mph though.

I don't have a problem beliveing 18 and for a horse racking that moving pretty good. I have some that could go 18 ,I was passed more than once but I don't think they where racking as they passed.
I clocked my last one at around 22mph, course that was using a truck to clock him, probably not real accurate. I have seen some faster, but if it got much faster, I think they had swapped over to a pace. A horse with real quick foot action is hard to tell sometimes, for me anyway.
