Coon Huntin In Southern Ga?

I have my house here in central Florida up for sale and I am gonna move to some better hunting. I am looking at North Florida and into Georgia. Is there any good hunting left in South Georgia? If so what area would you concider?

Plenty of good hunting left in middle and south GA. Dont rightly know which areas are the best. Probably around albany or alittle north of it. Some fine flat walking and seems to be alot of land left to hunt in that area.

..................

...........try around Brunswick, Ga........................lots of Govt. land, large acreage deer hunting clubs that will let you hunt, and state wildlife management areas..........most land around Albany is large, private plantations.........sometimes very hard to get permission to coon hunt.............pm me if ya move...........I can get ya on some land in both areas.............John

whats the difference between florida and south Ga.?? From what I've saw there both pretty much the same flat, wet, full of coons, and also alligators.

When have you hunted in Florida?????????????????

Posted by Clay Lautzenhiser on 04-26-2007 04:56 PM:

Difference in ...

MAJOR! There is a big difference just one hour north of me. There are areas available to hunt. There are areas that are not over developed and over grown in North Florida and Southern Georgia. It has nothing to do with snakes, gators... I don't know when the last time your hunted in Florida was but it is obviously time for you to try and hunt here again.

Tell the truth, you dont hunt at all. Just walk your dog through flea markets.

How many times have you been in the last two weeks and how many post have you made??????????????

haven't hunted in a month hiphop. Been working a lot of hours. The warmer the weather gets the less I like to hunt. My favorite times is Late september through March. You'll have to check on my posts, I'm not sure.

Mr. James, I was being sarcastic.lol Jerry and I drew together on a very nice plantation and AFTER the hunt was over, our non-hunting guide tells us that they trapped over 200 coons there.

I was too, there are several up there that trap the heck out of coon. Have 1 place down the slough from me that does it also, but wont let us hunt on it.

Beter than paradise for me. All i got to do is shut back the shut gates, stay off the wet roads and kill every coon I tree. Pretty simple rules.
