2007 Chicago Bears
I guess denny green was right, they were who we thought they were. Which is the number one team in a horrible NFC. I think all 6 playoff teams in the AFC would have beat the Bears.

Ya, but if the Colts could have tackled on the kick return and Jones 50 yard run, that would leave them with 3 points. The Colts kind of layed down on offense in second half of fourth quarter.
There is no need to slam the Bears. They are a great team with a great coach. The Colts were just to powerful.

if gets used alot for a word with two letters the game was not great indy didnt play great and the bears played a little worse
for instance if the colts cb would have droped the ball or fell and the berriman cought the pass it would have been a 14 point swing in the bears favor there were a lot of ifs in the game

I have heard many people say Payton would lose and go home whining.
I have seen Payton win before and I have seen him lose too but I have never heard Payton whine about anything.
But I sure see a lot of other people whining.

I do not think either team had anything to be ashamed of. They made it to the big game, and they played under bad rainy weather, the colts were just a little better that nite.

Yep, if the Bears D can stay healthy all season next year (with Tommie Harris and Mark Brown in there the Bears D goes from "good" to "dominant") and the QB play improves (either through Rexy boy improving -- remember guys he's basically a rookie due to time missed with injuries, etc--or with another man in the position) the Bears will make another run at the big game. They may or may not get there, but they will be in the running.
They also need to try and keep Jones and Benson in the backfield.
I like Thomas Jones, but when Benson went down it hurt what little "O" da Bears had. He is their power back and "mudder" so to speak. Jones played hard all game long though. I hope we can keep both of them next season. It's great to be able to bring in fresh horses (Indy does the same thing with their backs).
Oh well, great season and high hopes for next year!
