Valuable lessons ..

Well now that I'm not looking out from bars . I just had a heck of an experience . As some of you know I had an add sometime back on a Utchman bred male with a 1st place win , for sale . The middle of Nov. I went hunting with a few guys that I've known for awhile . One of them had a young walker gyp that was just starting , she needed a little help to get going good , so I offerd the hound I had for sale to help him out and if he wanted to buy my hound after awhile then ok if not thats ok to . I wasn't hunting him because I have another that I was working with . I offerd to send feed with my hound , guy said he would take care of it . Well I called every 2 weeks to check on things . Story I get is hound is doing great and pup is going with him good . Last week we made plans to hunt and talk of him buying my hound etc... Well he didn't bring my hound to hunt said he was hunted down , going to give him the night off. Decided he wanted to buy him , going to get the cash to me when income tax refund comes in . Good Deal . I decided to drop by and see how he was . Pulled in guys drive get out and go check on the hound more or less say goodbye . Well I walk out to him he comes out and I almost exploded , he was as poor as a snake . Tears actualy come to my eyes . That was as mad a man as I have ever been . Guys back door comes open he comes out says how ya doing etc... I say nothing like I dont hear him , he walks on to me and I turn around let him have it . [CAN OF WOOPAZZ ] wouldn't get close . Leash and load my hound then leave with a few choice words for him to think on also . I get home and law is waiting on me charged with asault an battery . Got out at 9:00 this morning . Took hound to vet every thing checks out [worms etc..] He is severly emanxapated . But with TLC he will be fine .

I know I should have checked on my hound sooner , if so I would have cought things . That is the valuable lesson I leard .
