do any of yall kno a easy way to get through chemistry... im studying...i get it then but after ab 10-15 misn ive forgotn it again... my teacher teachs n circles w his notes and i have trouble followin then... do yall have any suggestions??
Chemistry is hard. The biggest problem I see students make in Chemistry and Biology is not studying enough. All of the high schools around here make it easy for smart students to get by with short term memory. The thing is learning something for short term is not learning it.
There has been a ton of research done on learning. Guess what, the old fashioned way of repetition repetition repetition is still the best way to learn something. Don't wait until the test. Start studing as soon as you start new material. I would study every night before bed. Never study for more than 1 hour. Break it up. Reward yourself for studing. I would study for 20-60 minutes before dinner, before hunting, ebfore a favorite television show. Heck, I even studied while coon hunting. I carried my books in a back pack. I would pick a log and sit down after cutting the dog loose. Then I would get a book out and study.
Here is a good rule of thumb for studing Biology or Chemistry. Study a mininum of 2 hours for every hour spent in class. Study shorter times more frequently. In Chemistry, you need to know the principles and apply them. Biology is usually more straight forward memorization. It is just usually a ton of information.
The other thing to remember is you are not alone. many others have done it, and so can you. Don't quit trying! Good luck.

The best way I found to get through Chem was to read the chapters in my book and outline them on paper as I went... and work the example problems (if you do problems)!!! It is VERY tough, but the key is staying on top of your work!! If you outline the chapters, it gives you a good base to go off of for what your teacher may (or in your case) may not be talking about. It is best if you can read ahead!!! Just passing on what I learned the hard way!!!! Good LucK!!!
If I write something down I remember it better.
thankz yall ill take these ideas and work with them... thankz again
i was by no means a good student but i found that if when reading a chapter for a test if i read each page twice in a row i went from d to b or an A worked great for me
