A little excited
My favorite time of the year
The weather is crisp
Deer Season is out
Last years crop of Roosters are Crowing and Shuffling
Last years hens are fixing to lay
Coons are running hard , but not hard to find.
The sound of a .22 rifle causes my dogs to cock there ears back
The heater in my old hunting truck feels like an OVEN
Goats are grazing the neighbors yard cause grass is short
Pops is catching a few hogs
I'm GOING TO THE CLASSIC this weekend
Just some things I've noticed about coon hunts and chickens
1) you ain't got to be pretty to coon hunt or buy chickens
2) the Sharpest 4 WD ain't always got the best hound in it
3) I bought my best dog from a man that slept on the ground under his truck when he came to my house. ( It was cold)
4) There is some money in goats and chickens I just ain't found it yet.
5)This sounds like a Bob Polston ad!!!
A little excited in Oklahoma
Use to be my favorite time of year
The weather is colder than normal
Deer season is out....for the city boys
I am ready for some fresh eggs
coons are running hard, but for some reason very hard to find
The sound of a .22 opens up pen space
The heater in my truck is like an oven but I am freezing on a four wheeler
Wish I had time to catch some hogs
Wish I was at the Calssic with you
Rocky, don't mean to hijack your post. This is usually my favorite time of year also. But the weather has been cold, and of course Oklahoma has that different cold that freezes you to death, and hunting has been odd since the ice storm.
Good post though!

I gotta pretty sharp 4 wd. What's that say about the hounds? With that deluxe model chicken pen, you should have some world class chickens. Maybe you need to let Tripp manage the chickens, we all know he is the negotiator in the crowd! I do believe though that this is the best description of the GOOD LIFE that I have ever seen. You need to be writing for BLOODLINES or something. See ya at the Winter Classic.
i said not always. I do love it, love it , love it.
These Chickens are ruff, tuff and hard to Bluff
Can you trade chickens at The Winter Classic?
I'll be the one in the beat up red pick up with a dog box full of POWER. (DOGS < CHICKENS< GOATS)
It's Just LIKE A MINI MALL...Montgomery... to the left.. to the right
GOT MOST STAGS PENNED AND TRIMMED
WE HAD A SMALL GET TOGETHER AND HACKED OFF SOME FOR FUN. TREEIN SOME COONS IN THE DEEP SNOW AND COLD.
ROCKY, DO YOU KNOW A FELLA THAT GOES BY PING PONG UP AROUND ATHENS. WE GOT SOME REAL NICE FOWL IN THE WAY OF BATES HATCH X WARHORSE BLOOD. HE WENT 10 STRAIGHT WITH THEM AT DEL RIO A COUPLE YEARS AGO. PERRY VESELY UP IN THE COLD AND SNOW OF NORTHWEST ILLINOIS.

BLUEDOGS TREEIN COONS IN THE SNOW

PING PONG COCK FROM PING PONG THROUGH CLAUDE VAUGHN OF ATHENS GEORGIA. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY OF LIFE FOR ME. TALK TO YA SOON AND TELL ROGER ODUM HOWDY FOR ME.

Been at The Winter Classic all weekend. Just got back to the computer. Roger got High Scoring English (UEB&FA) We sold some pups and met a pile of people. Good looking Bird. I'm a lot greener on birds than I am on dogs. I'd probably like them though.
