Funny story................
About this time last year I went hunting with some buddies and one of them brought this walker male about 4 years old. One other brought a 7 month old puppy. I had my old Bluetick female. We turned loose and immidiately the 4 year old walker male left out babbling every breath. Finally stopped about 3 or minutes later. We listened and I barely heard my dog strike in there deep. She went a little further and got treed in there by herself. The walker male opened up back closer to us on the creek after haveing babbled after my dog way down the creek. He was letting loose with these great big huge locates all up and down the creek. The little creek was about a foot deep at it's deepest and maybe 8 foot wide. The 4 year old walker male just kept going in there deep and then comeing back towards us locateing every where. Curioustiy got the best of us all so we walked in there a little ways and discovered that the dog was going up and down the creek looking down at the water and bawling and squalling just like he was looking at a coon. He was simply obsessed with it. He continued this for probably 45 minutes while I tried to control my laughter cause it was one of my buddies dogs. Just then the little 7 month old puppy comes back to us. The 4 year old walker male sees the puppy and goes nuts. Takes off after the puppy and is chaseing the puppy through the woods. Running behind the little puppy just squalling and bawling and locateing just like he's looking at a coon. This continues for some time and finally stops. I guess he got bored with that so he finally went in there a different direction from my dog and got treed. We went in to my dog and she had two coons up a tree. Got the coon out and went after the other dog. He was treed in the ground and was buried down several feet allready. We all agreed he was probably after an armadillo. Anyway, to make a long story short I never hunted with this dog again and the dog changed hands at least once, maybe two or three times.
this dog is now a GRAND NITE CHAMPION.
LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL
That's a good one Sheep. Sounds true enough to me! I guess the walker boys are sitting back thinking on it! I don't see any comments! LOL

Is this a true story? Good Lord!
sheep, had a walker dog do that and i will tell you what caused it .me and mike palmer was hunting on cener hill lake right below center hill dam in middle tn.there was a corn field with water all around it when they was generating.this night we are talking about they were not generatingand had water on 3 sides so we could get out to the corn field.we turn 2 dogs out a 2 yr. old walker dog and a 2 yr. old walker female.the dogs went in and struck and ran a coon in the con field for about 5 min. and then got in the river.the water was about 10ft. deep they treed and we went to them. when we got to them we was on the other side of the river. the dogs was really going crazy. they was treed on a stump on the river bank sticking out in the water. the dogs was not treed on the bank but in the water going up under the stump. while we was deciding what we were going to do the male dog went uo under that stump and brought the coon out into the water. they fought in the water for about 5 min. and the coon got on top of my dogs head and took him under water. after about 3 or 4 min. i decided to go in after him and all at once the coon floated to the top but no dog. the coon did not swim he just floated off on top of the water. after about 10min. the walker came up at the bank and just laid there for 45min. before he could move. after that every time you put that dog in water he would have to swim in he would swim up and down round and round treeing till you went and got him.this dog made nt.ch. and died at my house. good dog everywhere else except water he had to swim in. no trouble with this dog in water until this night

the walker was probably still shaken after seeing the beating you gave Princess after her 40th straight possum the drop before,

Walkers. Always win the world but no thanks. Save my money for a bluetick coondog pup instead for a trash breaker.
