You can write Kentucky and Kansas off the list for the final four

When you cant beat teams like Vanderbilt and Texas Tech it is sad.

I guess you can write Alabama out too, since Vandy beat them. Duke and North Carolina lost to a lowly Virginia Tech (who has 1 less loss than Vandy)in the same week, so I guess they can kiss thier final four wishes goodbye as well. Of course, if Kansas can't make the final four, neither can Florida, because Kansas already beat Florida by 2!!

I'm beginning to make my head spin here, but the point is college basketball has so much parity anymore, Kentucky, Kansas,Duke,N.C.,Vandy or V.T. all have good chances of being final four teams, regardless of who wins now. Its all about whos HOT in March!

Im not going to get into comparing UCLA and Kentucky over the years. They both have done well over the years, i wont take that away from Kentucky at all. But im talking about this year. Its not going to be their finest.

I wouldnt exactly say Vandy is basement material anymore. Lets see, they have faced at the time they played them 6 teams in the top 25 and beat 5 of them. To me that right there says a lot about their potential madness resume and I got a feeling they aint done yet. They could be one of the hottest teams in the country right now and even though I am definately no Vandy fan I am glad they are getting a little recognition from the poll voters and cracking the top 25 in the AP's. There is so much even ground in college b-ball anymore that there are at least 25-30 teams that could potentially get hot at just the right time and win it all. That being said I would like that team be the Cats but I will say no more and only time will tell who this years run for glory will be.

don't count the Tarheels out, they have some real depth (witness their win at Arizona) and they are playing with a lot more composure and defensive intensity and they sure have got the coaching to get them there. But I would have to say that Vandy is going to give some teams a lot of trouble especially come tournament time
