2 plott females missing
i was hunting in tuskeegee ntl forrest in AL just before thanksgiving when my 2 plott females came up missing, i have searched the state over to no avail. they are littermates, one is a black brindle the other is a maltese brindle both have a little white spot on their chest. they were wearing orange collars w/ name plates on them, the plates had my correct address but an old phone #. these dogs would have been 2 yrs old new years eve
if anyone has any information on these dogs please contact me at 706-570-7767 or e-mail me at bamacooner1@yahoo.com
i will attempt to post some pics on here

Good pix
They should help. I am not sure if you've seen any posts before about this.. But- petfinder.com is a good way to search for lost hounds. The shelters that list them OFTEN don't know how to Identifly the breeds though. With Brindle dogs you need to search any sort of brindle dog that may resemble a plott. WIth BnTs you have to search Dobies and Rotts and Bloodhounds etc...
I can't work. I'm on the comp. most days. I search a few times a day for hounds people on here have lost and listed or asked me to search for. I will add your two to my searches.
Also, on petfinder there is a Lost and Found section and there are Shelter sections. Not all the dogs get listed on the Main Breed pages. I will gladly help to look.
I volunteer with BnT rescue (as well as own my own coonhounds)... SO I PREFER that the hounds get back to their REAL homes. Some rescuers hate hunting and hunters SO much they DO NOT want them to go back home. I will do what I can to help.
Best of luck, hope they were not stolen since that makes it even harder.
Heather WIlliam
PS Nice looking, happy healthy hounds=they SHOULD be back with you.

i think i just found the maltese one at a local humane society, i am goin to drive over there and see
I HOPE SO!
Please be sure to tell us right away if it's her! I sure hope so, Good luck! Heather
yes it was her, thank you for the help, now if i can just find the other one.
GREAT NEWS!
Which shelter, so I can have a better clue with area? It's hard to pinpoint the searches from far away when you are clueless to the area! Did they say WHERE she was found exactly? That'll help.
I saw a male marked MUCH like your dark one... Then saw it was male
There are SO many brindle dogs!
How is she???? Give her a big pat and a cookie from Heather, Please... even if it's dumb..LOL... it makes me feel better!
Will continue to search for you other, as well as Ed Franklins missing BnT male in MO.....
Heather
I hope you find your male.....one question...what is a maltese brindle??? Never heard of that before?
its a Blue brindle
Here is a dog I used to have, looks like the black brindle, let me know if you think it is the same dog.

that dog does look a lot like that black brindle i am mising, but mine was a smaller built
foxfarms, where did you get that dog from?
BIGCASTLDAWGS
i found her at the Lee County humane society, i put in Tuskegee as the area to search. the lady down there said they came in one morning a couple of weeks ago and found in the pen. i believe someone picked them up and didn't like her for and kept the other one. the maltese dog was a ok dog in the woods but the black one was a pretty jam up dog, that was one of the only dogs i had catch a bob cat on the ground, she was like lightning quick in the woods, and she got to where she would catch the coon on the ground 4 out of 5 times. she would run wide open for a while then like she knew when she was getting close she would shut up and within a couple of mins she would be way out in font of her sister fighting the dang coon. lol
Hey,Bamacooner,
If someone has the other one still lets hope they turn her loose too close to home and she comes right to you! Will keep the search up for you. I'm very glad you got one back in good shape. I'm hoping you find the second the same way- FINE!
Heather
some man from southern Indiana. Now she is in Indianapolis area. as far as I know.

do you have a name or # of the person that has the dog, or the person you got her from? even if i do not get the dog back i wolud like to know who originally picked her up. after i lost the dogs i talked to a couple of other hunters and they said several dogs come up missing from that place, and that people go there just to pick dogs up, so i would like to track this dog back to the person who picked her up to prevent future dogs being lost this way. the may have been picked and given to somebody inocently but i would like find out. thanks for your help in this matter
